Licensing
VisualTime is offered as a base package plus additional modules which are added on top of the base package.
The base package is licensed based on the number of number of resources and based on the number of concurrent connections (also called concurrent access licenses).
Resource licenses
Each resource created in the VisualTime system database requires a resource license. Any entity which is represented in the resources table in the VisualTime system database is considered a resource and requires a license.
You will need to acquire a number of licenses which is at least equal to the total number or resources defined in your VisualTime system database.
Concurrent access licenses
A concurrent access license is typically consumed by any user or device actively using the application. You can have an unlimited number of users or devices but the total total number of active users or devices can not exceed the number of concurrent access licenses available.
Additional modules licenses
Additional modules can be licensed by request. The additional modules are added by request on top of the base package. Each module requires it's own license.
Example1:
Your organization is providing equipment rental facilities and you are currently managing an inventory of 55 resources or pieces of equipment. A maximum of five users will be using the VisualTime application at any given time.
In this case you will need a minimum of 55 resource licenses plus 5 concurrent access licenses for the base package.
Example 2:
Your company needs to allow the internal users to schedule 23 meeting rooms in conjunction with the Outlook integration module. The total number of users is 600 and each user will need to have the ability to book virtually any room (pending permissions). You estimate that a maximum 10% of the total number of users will need to use the VisualTime room booking system at any given time.
In this case you will need a minimum of 23 resource licenses and an approximate number of 60 concurrent access licenses for the base package.
On top of that you will need to acquire a license for the Outlook Integration module.
